Hittin' the Road!

Yep..fun times.

But a necessary thing if you are about to drive over 700 miles in one day.

A classic little place in Ohio.

An awesome store, like Home Depot on steroids.

My first piece of cargo, a new Snapper walk-behind. It rode nicely up on the fifth wheel deck.

And if you are going through Millersburg on a hot day...

Make sure you stop here...

So you can enjoy the challenge of driving steep hills and winding turns in a stick-shift with a 24-ft. trailer while eating a delicious ice cream cone.

Amish dealership.

Time to change out the stock bumper and flimsy brush guard

A friend had made this for his old Dodge that ended up in the scrap yard.

Painted up and ready to install.

Installed with the custom front plate I fabricated Monday afternoon.

At a John Deere dealer in southern PA.

Taking the truck route through the hills.

A short break.

Infant photo shoot

Sometimes baby photographers imagine their job is a challenge.

But how about a small subject that bolts back and forth across the set at top speed during the entire shoot?

Or a mother who, far from helping, crowds in and tries to get slobber all over your $3k camera!

Welcome to the world of Simple Acres. Simple pleasures and cuteness are after all, worth the effort, and I got a few shots worth keeping from my session with Buddy the calf.

Enjoy!

And I'll throw in some snowdrops for free!

April

April showers...aren't supposed to be snow!

"my" geese

This couple does everything together!

Experimenting with my favorite lens, the 50mm F1.8

An old Tecumseh - powered go-kart, one of my recent repair jobs.

Ancient firewood

Up the old silo

Those tiny dots are raindrops. My camera is weather sealed but the lens isn't so I went indoors...
