Then I tried again Saturday, with a better lens, a little more knowledge, better light, shooting RAW instead of JPG and a thread-on +5 macro lens on the front: of the Tamron 28-80mm

Much better. Is there a way you can make a few MORE in focus? Perhaps a little farther back? But MUCH, MUCH better. Are you sure you can't get a job doing this work? :-)

Reese said the second one is more interesting. I think he means it is great that you can get up close and have such sharp detail. We are ready to crawl into the bag! Annabelle likes it, too. In fact, it makes me feel like I'm as small as a mouse. :-) Naomi says she likes it, too. Karen likes it and she says hi to you and to Trevor, too.
