Peaceful Woodland

I am just starting to get situated after moving into a new house. After all the excitement was over Saturday evening, I got the cow milked and went out to the woods beyond the hay fields to see what I could find. I was surprised and pleased to discover that the trees on the edge of the hay field hid a small bluff that overlooked a beautiful creek wandering through the woods, with flowers blooming and the waning sun glistening on the water. I snapped a few shot with my cameras so you could enjoy it too!

Bloom where you are planted, no matter the opposition

As the Hart panteth after the water brookes, so panteth my soule after thee, O God.

Ice Storm..and Cream

Thankfully it wasn't a real ice storm. Just a raw, wet, and windy day. I listened to the trees crackling with ice in the whistling wind.
A piece from the ice-littered ground, molded by a branch.

The preceding two photographs were taken by two different cameras; a $200 body/$100 lens, and a $500 body/$60 lens. Can you tell which is which?

Waiting to turn into apple leaves.

The frozen orchard.

Once it warms up, anyone want some of my homemade cherry ice cream?

Checkin in at last...

The Schoolhouse - the  part of our church building that we plan to renovate this year.

Edited by Wes O. and myself.

The windows in the church remind us what it's all about.

Happy Resurrection Day!
Which reminds me of another picture I took recently..
